Many times companies that currently are or have attempted canvassing are struggling to get leads. Why is that? What do successful canvassers do that the others aren’t doing. Some people just have the gift of gab and can sell ice to an Eskimo. But these people are few and far between and sometimes this employee can hold the company hostage. Canvassking, LLC provides scripts that the canvassers will use. The script is both necessary and helpful to prepare the canvasser at the front door. The script’s introduction, rebuttals to objections and questions must be written out. Without a script you are relying on the canvasser to know what to say and when. That is a big chance to take. You cannot have five different canvassers saying five different things at the front door. The scripts will keep the canvassers consistent to promote how your company can solve the homeowner’s needs through your products and programs. The script must have appropriate rebuttals to objections and questions that will mostly likely be asked at the front door. In addition to the scripted words for canvassing, body language is a major way of effectively communicating the marketing message. Bottom line, if you’re confident and relaxed the homeowner will mirror you and be comfortable and relaxed. Lastly, daily role-playing is essential to canvassing success. No one in your organization will receive more rejection on a daily basis than a canvasser. That is why it is essential to practice and rehearse to be prepared. Any athlete or musician prepares before performing. Why would that be any different than a canvasser? Therefore, being scripted verbally and non-verbally are vital to achieve consistent results. Canvassers will add their own personality to the script. By roll playing everyday they will improve their skills to memorize and be prepared. When the script is memorized the canvasser will be able to easily add lib if a unique situation calls for it. |
